![]() HonorAir and the National Honor Flight programs have been responsible for flying over 100,000 WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. HonorAir, the sponsor of this memorial is a nonprofit which started in 2005 in Hendersonville before branching out to more than 25 states. Upon receiving the award, Miller said that “this is a gathering for all veterans and we need to honor all our veterans every day.” Senate in recognition of his work in creating HonorAir. The two faces are polished while the sides remain rough-hewn. tall including the single base in the style of a grave marker with a flat top with rounded corners.
